This collaboration between the University of Notre Dame and the local Habitat for Humanity chapter strives to build better houses for low-income family and drive out the public stigma that is association with HFH homes. The studio focuses on use traditional design techniques to build long lasting homes that are not only functional but beautiful. We started with an analysis of non-western residential architecture and recently completed our individual house designs. Afterwards, we will work in teams to detail out 3 house designs. By the end of the semesters, each group of student would have complete a set of construction drawings to be ready for HFH to use.
